About Metricool
Metricool packages scheduling, analytics, competitor tracking and ad reporting into one dashboard, which is why freelancers and small agencies who juggle several networks favour it. It reports on organic and paid activity side by side, and it now ships an MCP server so you can query it from AI assistants. The Free plan has no expiry and is built for one brand.
What the free plan gives you
- 1 brand
- Up to 20 scheduled posts per month
- Connections to your networks except LinkedIn and X
- Analysis of 5 competitor profiles
- 30 days of analytics history
- The AI assistant and the Metricool MCP integration
Twenty posts a month works out to about five a week, which fits a single small account posting daily on one or two networks.
Where the free plan stops
LinkedIn and X are absent from the free plan entirely, which for many B2B users is the deciding factor. The 20-post cap and the 30-day analytics window are the other two. The Starter plan, listed from €16 or $20 per month with up to 24% off on annual billing, allows up to 10 brands, unlimited publishing under a fair-use policy, LinkedIn connection, the X add-on, 100 competitor profiles, unlimited analytics history, PDF and PPT reports, multiple link-in-bio pages, Flows and Google Drive and Canva integrations. Advanced, from €43 or $53 per month, manages up to 50 brands with team features.
Who it suits
A creator or a small business posting on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok or YouTube with a modest cadence can run on the free plan and get real analytics. If LinkedIn or X is part of your mix, or you manage more than one brand, Starter is the entry point and its annual price is competitive with the alternatives.

The free plan in practice
What you can actually do on Metricool's free plan (1 brand, 20 scheduled posts/month (excludes LinkedIn & X)), where it stops, and when it's worth paying.
What you can do free
- 1 brand
- 20 scheduled posts per month
- 5 competitor profiles tracked
- 30 days of analytics history
- AI assistant and Metricool MCP
- Most networks except LinkedIn and X
Where it stops
- LinkedIn and X not available on the free plan
- 20 posts a month

- Single brand only
When to upgrade to a paid plan
Stay on the free plan while you're comfortably under the free plan's limit (1 brand, 20 scheduled posts/month (excludes LinkedIn & X)). It's worth moving to a paid plan once you consistently bump into that ceiling, need to remove branding, or want features the free tier holds back. Paid plans start at $20/mo.
