1. What this site is

freestack.tools ("the Site") is a directory of tools with a verified free plan, run by a single person. This policy explains what data the Site collects, why, and what it never does with it.

2. Analytics

The Site uses Vercel Analytics and PostHog (EU-hosted) to understand which pages and categories get used, at an aggregate level. Both are configured to exclude known bots and crawlers, and PostHog only initializes for visits to the production domain — not previews or local development. You can opt out of analytics entirely from any page by setting the disable-analyticsflag in your browser's local storage, or by using a browser extension that blocks analytics scripts.

3. Affiliate links

Some outbound links to tools on this Site are affiliate links, routed through /go/[slug] redirects so click-throughs can be measured. Clicking one may result in a commission for this Site at no additional cost to you. See the Terms of Service for the full affiliate disclosure. Affiliate relationships do not influence which tools get listed or how they're ranked.

4. What's not collected

The Site does not require an account to browse, does not sell or share data with data brokers or advertisers, and does not run third-party ad tracking. Tool submissions and contact form messages collect only what you type in (email address, message content) and are used solely to respond to you or review a listing.

5. Cookies

The Site sets a minimal set of cookies for functionality (e.g. a preference cookie so the site owner's own visits don't count as analytics traffic) and, where used, PostHog's own analytics cookies. No third-party advertising cookies are set.

6. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
