About Zoho Social

Zoho Social is the social media scheduler inside the Zoho suite, aimed at small businesses and agencies that already use Zoho CRM or Zoho Desk. After the 15-day trial, accounts drop to a forever-free plan with lifetime validity, and no credit card is needed at any point.

What the free plan gives you

The Free plan covers 1 brand with 6 channels: a Facebook Page, X profile, Instagram Business profile, LinkedIn profile, LinkedIn Company Page and Google Business Profile. One team member can publish and schedule posts, keep drafts, review published and scheduled posts, use the image editor and media optimisation, and see a basic dashboard. You also get the zShare browser extension, 5 AI credits and 24/5 email support.

Where the free plan stops

The missing pieces are the ones that make a social tool a team tool. There is no monitoring dashboard, no inbox for messages, no reports, no CRM integration and no collaboration features beyond a single seat. The 5 AI credits run out after a handful of captions. The Standard plan is the next step, listed at $15 a month billed monthly or $10 a month billed annually (Zoho's page shows a 33 percent annual saving), still for one brand and one member; adding members or brands costs extra, and multi-user teams land on Premium.

Who it suits

A solo founder or small shop that wants scheduling across the big six networks without paying, and does not need engagement monitoring or reports, will be fine on Free for years. Anyone who needs a shared inbox, analytics for clients or a second team member should compare Standard against Buffer and Postoria before committing, because the per-member add-ons add up.

The free plan in practice

What you can actually do on Zoho Social's free plan (1 brand, 6 channels, 1 team member), where it stops, and when it's worth paying.

What you can do free

  • 1 brand with 6 channels (Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn profile and page, Google Business Profile)
  • Publishing, scheduling and drafts for 1 team member
  • Image editor and media optimisation
  • zShare browser extension
  • 5 AI credits
  • 24/5 email support, no credit card required

Where it stops

  • Single team member only
  • No monitoring dashboard, inbox, reports or CRM integration
  • Only 5 AI credits
  • Extra brands and members are paid add-ons

When to upgrade to a paid plan

Stay on the free plan while you're comfortably under the free plan's limit (1 brand, 6 channels, 1 team member). It's worth moving to a paid plan once you consistently bump into that ceiling, need to remove branding, or want features the free tier holds back. Paid plans start at $15/mo.
