About Netlify

Netlify hosts static sites and full-stack web apps with Git-based deploys, serverless functions and edge delivery. Front-end developers, agencies and indie hackers have used it as the default home for Jamstack sites for a decade. In 2026 the Free plan runs on a credit system: 300 credits a month, spent across deploys, bandwidth, compute and requests.

Credits are metered as follows on the pricing page: a production deploy costs 15 credits, bandwidth is 20 credits per GB, compute is 10 credits per GB-hour, and web requests are 2 credits per 10,000. So 300 credits buys about 20 deploys with no traffic, or a handful of deploys plus 10 GB of bandwidth.

Where the free plan stops

When the 300 credits are gone, your sites pause until the next month; there is no overage on Free. That makes it risky for anything with real visitors. Personal is $9/mo for 1,000 credits, and Pro is $20/mo per member with more credits, team features and pay-as-you-go beyond the allowance. Enterprise is custom.

Who it suits

Free is right for portfolios, documentation and side projects that deploy a few times a month and see light traffic. A launched product or a client site should start on Personal at $9/mo simply to avoid the hard pause. Teams needing roles, audit logs and shared billing go to Pro.
