Where the free plan stops

Free sites carry a "Made with Carrd" footer, cannot use a custom domain, and cannot embed forms, custom code or third-party widgets. Those are the three things almost every serious use needs. Pro starts at $19 a year and unlocks custom domains with SSL, contact and signup forms with integrations, custom code and widget embeds, site analytics, and removal of the footer branding. Higher Pro tiers raise the site count and add more advanced features, and the vendor page shows the full breakdown when you sign up.

Who it suits

The free plan is fine for a personal link page or a quick test of an idea where a carrd.co address is acceptable. If you are collecting email addresses, running ads to the page, or want your own domain, $19 a year is one of the cheapest paid tiers in any category and there is little reason to stay free. Anyone wanting a multi-page site or a blog should look elsewhere; Carrd is single-page by design.
