VEED is a video editor that runs in the browser and leans on AI for the boring parts: auto-subtitles, translation, text to video, avatars and background removal. Social media managers, course creators and small marketing teams use it because there is nothing to install. The free plan works indefinitely but stamps a VEED watermark on everything you export.

What the free plan gives you

• The full editor, templates, screen recorder and stock library

The core editor is not cut down. You can cut, layer, add text, record your screen and generate subtitles exactly as a paying user would; the constraints sit on the export step.

Where the free plan stops

• The watermark. VEED's support pages are blunt that the only way to export without it is a paid subscription.
• 720p only. 1080p needs the Lite plan and 4K needs Pro or above.
• 10-minute exports and 30 subtitle minutes a month, which rules out podcasts, webinars or anything long-form.

The Lite plan costs $19 a month billed monthly, or $12 a month on the annual plan. It removes the watermark, unlocks 1080p, extends exports to 25 minutes and adds more subtitle minutes. Pro at around $30 a month on the annual plan is the step up for 4K and heavier AI usage.

Who it suits

The free plan is fine for learning the editor, cutting a short clip for personal use or testing the auto-subtitle quality. It is not usable for anything you publish under a brand, because of the watermark, so treat $12 to $19 a month as the real starting cost for client or business work.
