Jotform is a drag-and-drop form builder that also handles payments, e-signatures and approval workflows. Small businesses, clinics, schools and event organisers use it because it needs no code and has thousands of templates. The free tier is the Starter plan: 5 forms and 100 submissions a month, with Jotform branding on every form.

You get the same editor as paying users. Conditional logic, calculations, the PDF editor and the mobile app are all there; the limits are on volume rather than features.

Where the free plan stops

• 100 submissions a month. A single well-shared registration form can hit this in a day, and Jotform disables the form until the next month or an upgrade.
• 5 active forms. Old forms have to be disabled or deleted to make room.
• Jotform branding on every form and 10 payment submissions a month, which rules out running a shop on the free plan.

The cheapest paid plan is Bronze at $39 a month billed monthly, or $34 a month on the annual plan. It raises you to 25 forms, 1,000 submissions and removes the branding. Silver at $49 and Gold at $129 keep going up from there.

Who it suits

Starter is enough for a contact form, a short feedback survey or an internal request form with light traffic. Anyone collecting payments, running recurring events or expecting more than a few submissions a day should budget for Bronze from the start, because the submission cap is the first thing you hit.
