About Storyblok

Storyblok is a headless CMS known for its visual editor, which lets marketers see changes rendered in the live site while developers keep full control over components and delivery. Its free tier is the Starter plan, free for as long as you want it.

What the free plan gives you

Starter includes 1 user seat and 1 space. Within that space you can hold up to 20,000 stories and 2,000 assets with a 500 MB per-asset maximum, organised in up to 100 content folders with up to 200 components and 10 datasources. The content delivery API allows 100k requests a month and 100 GB of traffic a month, with 2 locales, 2 preview URLs, 25k AI credits a month and 1 day of activity log retention. You can add one more seat at $15 a month, taking the space to a maximum of 2 users.

Where the free plan stops

The single seat is what ends most Starter projects: a CMS with one editor and one developer already needs the $15 add-on, and a third person needs a new plan. The 100k API requests and 100 GB traffic cannot be extended on Starter, and neither can locales beyond 2. The Growth plan is $99 a month ($90.75 a month billed annually), and Growth Plus is $349 a month; Premium and Elite are custom-priced.

Who it suits

Solo developers building a portfolio, a small marketing site or a proof of concept get a fully featured headless CMS with a visual editor for free, and 20,000 stories is far more than they will use. Marketing teams with several editors, multilingual sites or serious API traffic should treat Starter as an evaluation period and budget for Growth.
