Flagsmith

Flagsmith is a feature flag and remote config service you can use hosted or run yourself, since the core is open source. Engineering teams use it to ship code dark, run staged rollouts and change app behaviour without a deploy. The hosted Free plan gives you 50,000 API requests a month and unlimited flags for a single user, and the self-hosted edition has no request cap.

• 1 project, so separate apps have to share one flag namespace.

The Start-Up plan costs $45 a month billed monthly, or $40 a month on the annual plan. It lifts you to 1,000,000 requests, 3 team members, unlimited projects, and adds A/B testing, 2FA and email support. Scale-Up at $250 to $300 a month brings 5 million requests, more seats and SAML. Extra API calls are $50 per million on top.

Who it suits

The hosted Free plan suits a solo developer or a small side project that wants proper flags without paying. A team of two or more should compare Start-Up at $45 a month against self-hosting, which is free and unlimited if someone is happy to run it.
