Activepieces is an open source automation builder in the Zapier and n8n mould, with flows, tables, AI agents and an MCP server so you can trigger automations from ChatGPT or Claude. Ops and marketing teams pick it for the low price per run. The hosted Free plan costs $0 with 100 credits a day, and the self-hosted Community edition is MIT-licensed with no caps.

What the free plan gives you

On Activepieces Cloud, Free includes 100 credits a day, refreshed daily, for 1 user. A flow run costs 1 credit and AI actions cost 2 to 20 credits depending on the model, so a plain flow can run about 3,000 times a month for nothing. Flows are unlimited, and Agents, Tables, MCPs and every connector are included, with community support. Self-hosting the Community edition gives you no cap on runs, users or flows, though it is limited to core automation features.

Where the free plan stops

Two limits matter: the single user seat, and the 100-credit daily ceiling, which AI-heavy flows can burn through in a few dozen runs. The Plus plan at $16 a month billed yearly raises you to 10,000 credits a month and up to 5 users with email support. Team is $166 a month billed yearly for 50,000 credits and 25 users with SSO. Overage on paid plans is $0.007 per credit.

Who it suits

A solo operator running a handful of non-AI flows can stay on Free indefinitely, and anyone comfortable with Docker gets an unlimited automation server for free. Teams that need shared access or run AI steps in most flows should plan on Plus, and companies that want roles and SSO without self-hosting are looking at Team.
